Im sick and possibly extremely grouchy, in which I may not be able to tolerate any stupidity, so if I sound offensive, don't take it personally. This message is so I know that people are on the same page as I am.
Okay, so I had a conversation with Luke a couple of weeks ago about "Version 3" of JavaGFX. (I dont know why we need to change so soon, but anyway.) So I bring up how "Version 3" sounds unprofessional. Which it does. Since we can't change any of the Perl or PHP coding of a proboard(we cant change the vital codes to make the site tick), we can't make full-changes. Our changes can only really be limited to CSS, HTML and Java. So "Version 3" doesnt really work.
So I brought up: Why don't we call it something else instead of Version 3. When Luke asked "Like what?" I brought up a word I had learned in biology that day: Calyptra. The part of a female plants sexual organ found in a flower of some family of plants. But only as an example. If I had some time to think about it I would have come up with something much cooler.
Anyway, from what I see, Luke thought I meant: No more JavaGFX, we shall be Calyptra. (Which confused everyone at that point.)
That is wrong. Hell, not even "Version Calyptra" is right because we cant change this version of proboards! We can't change the Version!
I meant do something a little bit like Windows or Mac. Instead of calling them "Windows 5" and "Windows 6", they called them "XP" and "Vista"
So instead of "JavaGFX Version 3", I meant it as" JavaGFX: Calyptra"
But since people responded negatively towards "Calyptra" I thought that we should just call it: "Java 3" indicating that its the third official remodel of JavaGFX. (Which is wrong, it would be the 4th or 5th.)
Alright, so, are we all on the same page? Can we please move on?
I will be talking to my fellow admins through msn and we will talk out a plan for another official remodel.
And Luke, don't change the name of this board to "JavaGFX Version Calyptra" again. Even if we somehow called it that, we havnt even changed the site yet. >.>
So I apologize for sounding harsh and unpleasant. This has just frustrated me sooo much, and it really didnt help that Im sick either.
So, have a good day and enjoy your time on JavaGFX.
